Very confidential letters by a faith full to her confession father and to her spiritual counselor , found way to the open world which is un- ethical and never supposed to be made public
and against the high spiritual values , going round the visual and print media after ten years of her death making flutter and sensation . But, if we go through the fine print of the texts of the letters there is nothing
controversial or nothing to sensationalize . In her youth full age, Mother Theresa was a teacher for seventeen long years . But she was thinking teaching was not her calling and she was disturbed in her heart
after some sickness she was convalescing at a distant place from her dwelling . During her annual retreat
in Himalayan foothills her prayers got answer , in her solitude Jesus spoke to her and told her to leave her job and go to the Calcutta slums where the poorest of the poor are living in a condition far below fit for human existence .She joined her mission and found satisfaction and peace of mind and she was doing it in right earnestness . It was reported for more than fifty years after that she never felt the presence of God
she had a darkness in her faith .
I don’t feel any thing very special about it . She was also a human being just like you and me. When she is doing something exemplary well and wiping the tears of the poorest of poor , naturally,
She thought Jesus will appreciate her work and say “well done keep it up” . But it never happened. Just like a CEO after giving instruction to carry out an assignment to his assistant, if he found the instructions
were carrying out correctly he need not go to him every time and say nice things to him . Just like that the master crafts man was looking her from afar and there was no scope for further correction.
But Mother Theresa wanted to hear her menders voice or a pat in the back. But He had other options. The rewards were bestowing on her in various other ways honors including Nobel Price came her way . But she was longing for Jesus voice. God plan was keeping darkness in her heart. But even when the darkness was so great and in one moment she doubted even the existence of God . But she was never an atheist. She wrote “I want the work to remain only His” she wanted only Jesus’ name to come first that is why she wrote “ He must be forcing Himself to do so – because He loves you so much :” the personal love Christ has for you is infinite .

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall. But those who wait on the Lord mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.(Isaiah 40-29,30) Be Still and know that I am God ( psalm 46-10)from the golden moments before God will recharge us . Every noted discoveries or creation was precededWith Silence . Creation of the universe whether it is as per genesis in the Bible or with “Big Bang”Before that there was eternal silence. The earth was with out form and void and darkness was on the face of the deep . and the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of waters(Genesis 1-2).The longest period of silence in human life is when the fetus is in mothers womb ,. that is the period when the body cells grow fast, one simple cell multiplies to become a perfect body in that short time .All the foundation stones of fundamentals of the body’s is laid in those months . After birth only additional blocks are placed . A fetes can feel the happiness and sorrow of the mother . In St Luke 1-41 it states “and it happened , when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary , that the babe leaped in her womb” So the parents got an added responsibility to keep a conducive atmosphere to keep the babe in good mental health . Parents should spent long time before the creator to gain strength . Mothers prayers and loving behavior of the father is the pre condition for a child who is use full for the mankind .

Baptism literally means immersing in water. For the Orthodox Church this is a Holy sacrament through which a child is becomes the member of the orthodox church and part of Jesus Body through the Holy Communion .Some of the modern churches are believing in adult Baptism . But

Through the Baptism the Baptized had a rebirth in Christ, and becoming a member of His church and get purified from the Sin of Adam (or birth sin). Earlier forms of this purification and enrollment to a separate group started in the days of Abraham. Yahweh instructed Abraham that all male child of his clan including his servants’ children to be circumcised on the 8th day after birth ( Genesis17-10). In Leviticus, we see ( Lev 8:6), for the consecration of priest first they should be washed with water for cleansing and purifying, and then should be anointed with scented oil. In first Samuel 10:1, we see prophet Samuel anointing Soul by pouring oil on his head . All these show a sort of cleansing and anointing is required to separate one from the earlier position .This type of washing and anointing was available in the Qumran sect also, may be they followed the Jews custom .When John the Baptist came as the forerunner of Messiah he baptized (St Mark 1:8) people in the river of Jordan and told them to bear the fruits of repentance. The Christian Baptism of today was installed by Jesus Christ after his resurrection .He baptized His disciples in Holy Sprit in the name of His father .( St Mathew 28:19, St Mark 16:16). Through the sacrament of Baptism a child is becoming member of Church and sanctified (Ephesians 5: 26), becoming a Born again (Titus 3: 6) repent and justified in Christ ( Acts 2:38, 1 Cori 6:11) and receive Holy Ghost( 1 Cori 12:13, Ephe 1:14).

Faith is the out come of baptism. In child baptism the god father/ mother is the representative who takes the oath. In the Orthodox order of baptism there are four parts (1) preparation for Baptism, through which the parents surrendering the child to the will and direction of Jesus Christ. Here the child is given a Christian name, .for a boy this will be his grand parents or fathers name so that
he also becomes member in the family tree , for girls similarly her mothers or grand mothers name .
(2) Child is applied with olive oil this is supposed to be the symbolic of Christian love. Child is discarding Satan and receiving Messiah as the redeemer. The representative God Father or Mother
are entrusted with the responsibility to bring up the child in Christian values , they have to pray for the baptized through out their lives . (3) Priest mixing the hot and cold water in the baptismal pond
symbolic to the hot and cold spring water of Jordan where Jesus had His baptism .Then the priest blows over the water to invite Holy spirit and pour few drops of Moron to water. Just like the manifestation of Holy Triune at the Jordan Baptism (The Baptized, Fathers voice as this is my beloved Son and the Sprit as the Dove), Sprit of God hovering over the water and priest bathing the child in that water. When the child is taken out of the water it will be smelling good and it will be new life , then he will be anointed with the Holy Moron ( Moron is a sacramental oil specially prepared with some thing like 1200 ingredients. Patriarch or Catholicos only can prepare it ).Now he is the member of Gods church ,a great privilege indeed , as a symbol of the great privilege a crown is placed his/her head and priest take him in side the madbaha and allow to kiss at the corners of the
thronos, where the Eucharist is kept .(4) Then he is brought down and Holy communion is given . By that action the child becomes the member of the Christian church and part of Jesus Body .

The Flatworld

World Community condemning the Death sentence to Saddam Hussein . It is a matter to be condemned . But he deserve it . How many people he butchered including his son- in-law.
I like to comment on a news item in to days print media. CPM general secretary
Mr Prakash Karett while condemning the judgment , he is demanding, India should exert
International pressure to change the verdict and also local party units to organize demonstrations
to pressurize US . Ha!!Ha!! what he think of CPM of India in world affairs? . In that matter India , the so called emerging world power,( all in Indian media ). In US India not even important as Pakistan. Mid july to mid October I was in US. I was reading daily the Washington post . In the three month I have been in US I read of India only twice in Washington post . one when the ban against coco kola removed by court and a small feature about the mobile phone use by the fisherman in Kerala. . Even the bomb blast in Mumbai cost found an insignificant mention .Even Sasi Tharoor`s UN candidacy was not important .In the IT world , because the flattening of the world by out sourcing, presence of India is felt . otherwise it is not even a paper tiger .

God, Religion and Man


God and religion are two puzzle right from the beginning of mankind. Every time
thinking man tried to find a solution or rather an answer to God .In horeb , in the burning bush
Yehowa told Moses that “ I am who I am ‘ But it was not a convincing Answer . But after
few thousand years, Jesus Christ gave answer to this puzzle to His disciples . St John, through
out in his Gospel gives the answer as told by Jesus . He is the Way, Truth, Eternal life and Resurrection .Even though all the major religions of Humanity originated from Asia, lot of researches and deliberations had taken place in the western hemisphere .

During the early days of human inhabitance in this world, any thing which is beyond
his comprehension was God . It may be thunder, lightning, snake, sun, moon etc . Similarly,
masculine and feminine gods had equal status . Earlier pagan Gods were paired as husband and wife .
For each actions they coined a separate God. All powerful omnipotent God derived in
later centuries .Abraham the Israeli patriarch is the first known who worshiped the
all powerful God Yehowa .But there is a mention of a Priest and king of god the most high, Melchizedek in Genisis14-18. All these pagan Gods or God the most high were cruel or one to whom there was no easy access. Moses told the Israelites no man should touch the mountain not even an animal in that case, it should be stoned to death. Yehowa was considered to be the God of Army that is equally good for Hindu mythological Gods.

But through centuries man’s concepts of God changed to a still mild and compassionate
God, who is caring the day today life of man, who is sympathetic to his sorrows, worries and even in his happiness .Similarly during the Axle age (750 BC to 1st centaury CE) feminine Goddesses,
gently pushed back to the oblivion . When the Son of God, member of the trinity born this world
through Virgin Mary, He was an equal ordinary human being except in sin . Even Allah of Mohammed was compassionate.

In the later part of 20th centaury, a calculated move started to bring back the lost paradise
of Feminism and Goddesses. Priory sion, Davance Code, projecting Mary Magdalene as the
wife and heir of Jesus Christ are few examples. Had Jesus was having a wife what prevented him
from proclaiming it . Those day’s social customs were not preventing it. He was and is the God
and above all the human temptations . Just before him starting his earthly mission he was in the wilderness, after the forty days fast, when he was communing with His father. Satan came to tempt
Him with, food, wealth, power and supremacy of the world. But he came out victorious .All the
perverted theories circulating today are bound to face natural death . Globalization and commercialization of society is an easy platform to spread the wild fires.

“we cannot see God intellectually , but if we let ourselves be enveloped in the cloud that

Maher's birthday

Today is Maher`s birthday ,his fourth one . One unique aspect is that he is getting gifts from people of India, Australia, China and of course America. He is a great fan of Thomas the tank Engine and friends .He already has a collection of more than thirty engines . Today he has added some more. He appears to have a hereditary leaning towards trains as his two great grand parents were railway personnel and grand father was in railways. Maher Jacob Tharakan is on the trunk of the Padath family tree. God bless him.
